Measure bracelet
A vintage bracelet catches your eye. The shine, the links, the sense of history on your wrist. A piece of jewelry with character that immediately captivates. But to truly show it off, the right size is essential. Because every vintage bracelet is unique and only exists once, you want to be sure it fits perfectly. Fortunately, determining your bracelet size is very easy and you can do it at home. With the methods below, you'll discover which size suits you best in seconds.

Measure existing bracelet
Do you already have a bracelet that fits comfortably and is similar to the one you're looking for? Then this is the most accurate way to determine your bracelet size.
Step 1: Get a well-fitting bracelet
Take a bracelet that fits comfortably and a measuring tape or ruler.
Step 2: Measure the inner length of the bracelet
Lay the bracelet flat on a flat surface.
Measure the inner length of the bracelet:
- Bracelet with clasp: measure from the inside of the clasp to the inside of the end.
- Bracelet without clasp: measure the total inner length along the inside.
Note the number of centimeters you measure.
Step 3: Determine your bracelet size
The measured length in centimeters is your bracelet size . You can use this measurement when choosing a vintage bracelet.
Example:
If your inner circumference is 18 cm , then your bracelet size is 18 .

Measure your wrist circumference
Use a measuring tape or a piece of string (which you then place along a ruler).
Step 1: Measure your wrist circumference
Measure the circumference of your wrist where you want to wear the bracelet. Don't measure too tightly.
Step 2: Note the measured length
Write down the measurement in centimeters. This is your wrist circumference .
Step 3: Add comfort
For a comfortable fit, add extra space to your wrist circumference:
- Tight fit: + 0.5 – 1 cm
- Comfort fit (most popular): + 1 – 1.5 cm
- Loose fit: + 1.5 – 2 cm
The result is your bracelet size.
Example:
If your wrist circumference is 16 cm and you prefer a comfortable fit (+1.5 cm), then your bracelet size is 17.5 cm .

The right bangle size
Have you got your eye on a bangle, but aren't sure if the inner diameter listed on the jewelry is right for you? By converting this diameter to a circumference measurement, you'll know exactly whether the bangle slides comfortably over your hand and fits snugly around your wrist. This way, you can easily determine your perfect bangle size.
Step 1: Measure your hand circumference
Using a measuring tape (or a piece of string and a ruler), measure the circumference of your hand at its widest point (usually over the knuckles, with your thumb against your hand). Don't measure too tightly.
Step 2: Measure the inner diameter
Does the bangle have an inner diameter listed? Use this measurement, or measure the inner diameter of a bangle that fits you, from inner edge to inner edge, straight through the center.
Step 3: Convert the diameter to circumference
Use the formula below to calculate the bangle circumference:
Circumference (cm) = diameter (cm) × 3.14
Step 4: Determine your bangle size
Compare the calculated circumference to your hand. If the bangle is slightly larger, the bangle will fit comfortably.
Example:
Is your bracelet size 18 cm and does the bangle have an inner diameter of 60 mm ? 60 mm = 6 cm 6 × 3.14 = 18.8 cm The bangle has a circumference of approximately 19 cm and will fit comfortably.
