The Cartier Tank Française medium watch is made of stainless steel, features a quartz movement, and fastens with the original stainless-steel Cartier bracelet with a double-folding clasp. The watch has a silver guilloché dial with sapphire crystal, blued-steel sword hands, and black Roman numerals. The crown features a blue sapphire cabochon. The watch comes with the corresponding Cartier pouch. The Tank Française was introduced in 1996 as a more modern interpretation of the classic Tank. Whereas the Tank Louis Cartier has an elegant and refined appearance, the Française has a sportier look thanks to its integrated link bracelet. As a result, the watch wears almost like a piece of jewelry—something Cartier is known for.
