Gold vintage ring with cat eye colour stone 18 krt
Product information
A grid of 18-carat precious gold embraces a chatoyant violet glass gemstone. Chatoyancy is a gemstone phenomenon in which a bright band of light appears across the surface of a gemstone.
Also known as cat's eye, it is usually caused by fine, needle-like inclusions in a gemstone. The mesmerising effect is often seen in precious gemstones such as chrysoberyl, sapphire, spinel, tourmaline and ruby. Sometimes the cat eye effect can also be present in man-made gemstones, as in this deep violet glass cabochon with cat eye. Not the right ring size? Our goldsmith can adjust it in our in-house workshop.
