This gold ring is set with a green chrysoprase cabochon, a rather unusual gemstone. Chrysoprase is known for its bright, almost glowing green hues, and this stone can even be seen from across the room.
A Dutch hallmark dates this ring to the retro period, before 1953. Colorful gemstones and large rings were very fashionable then, and cheerful jewellery was extremely popular.
