Gold vintage pendant with spinel is an elegant design from the retro period of the 1950s, featuring a faceted green synthetic spinel as its radiant focal point. The synthetic spinel’s bright green hue catches the light beautifully, while the openwork gold and decorative details give the pendant a refined, almost architectural look. The Dutch hallmark, dating from after 1953, fits beautifully with this date and underscores the piece’s vintage character. The design evokes the elegant postwar jewellery in which colour, symmetry and graceful craftsmanship come together. Lovely worn on its own on a delicate chain, close to the skin, allowing the synthetic spinel’s fresh lustre to shine through.
