Gold vintage ring with spinel is a distinctive design from the Retro period, in which graceful forms and a generously sized centre stone complement one another. The faceted green spinel catches the light in bright, vibrant planes and is securely held by a setting with visible prongs. Around the spinel, the openwork gold with its flowing details lends the ring an elegant sense of movement, characteristic of the decorative style popular from 1935 to 1950. The design evokes the refined ring styles of the Retro period, where volume and graceful detailing come together.
